Site Reclamation Request
The following outlines the process to request access to a site in the event that it has been "abandoned":
- This is not intended to circumnavigate the authority of existing Site Administrators. If there are any active Site Administrators, you NEED to work with them to get access to a site.
This process is intended for the recovery of sites that have been "abandoned" and do not have a Site Administrator to grant access to new users. The Drupal team will, upon completion of this process, add ONE new Site Administrator who can then take over user management and add any remaining users who still require access.
- The Information Security Coordinator for the relevant department will need to submit a ticket to ask that the Drupal team intervenes and assigns a new Site Administrator. The request must:
- CC any Site Administrators whose accounts are not blocked
(Helps ensure transparency and that these site admins are indeed inactive) - Include the URL of the site requested and the reason intervention is necessary (ex: Site Administrator retired without assigning replacement)
- The name and email address of the new Site Administrator to be assigned
- CC any Site Administrators whose accounts are not blocked
- Assuming there are no issues with the request, the Drupal team will assign the new Site Administrator.
- The new Site Administrator MUST review existing users on the site and block any accounts that are no longer active.
- The new Site Administrator may then begin assigning new users as necessary and assumes responsibility for the ongoing, day-to-day user management.
