Working with Videos

Embedding Video

Please Note that we have a video tutorial available on this subject! Written instructions are available below.

Videos can be embedded in your pages using iFrames. In order to use iFrame code on your page, you'll need to set the text format to CP Extended Filter using the drop-down menu below the body editor.

Many major video services like Youtube and Vimeo make iFrame embed codes easily available – in Youtube, for example, simply click Share and then Embed. Copy that code, and paste it into the source view of your Drupal page.

Captioning and Accessibility

Please don’t forget to caption all videos! ADA compliance is everyone’s responsibility. We've found using Camtasia software works well, and is free for state staff and faculty computers. See your Lan Coordinator for help installing Camtasia. If you can’t caption your own video, please read this Media Captioning page about outsourcing your captioning.
